Let's hope so. The trip from Kanchanaburi out to Sai Yok Noi is very scenic and enjoyable especially along the river section of track.

Yes indeed, a train journey I have experienced, travelling onwards by road to Hell Fire Pass. The current terminus of the line is timetabled as Nam Tok on the old Burma Railway. For reference (today, 7 September 2022):

SRT governor Nirut Maneephan said the four-bogey train may be used for trips from Bangkok to places like Sai Yok Falls in Kanchanaburi ..........................................

Personally I find it rather sad, having visited the Commonwealth War Graves in Kanchanaburi, that a Japanese train could run again on the Death Railway built by the Japanese brutally using massed forced labor (both military and civilian).

Nice paint job.

Hopefully they didn't use watercolor based paint like the workers did on our house.

Water-based pant has been used in the automotive industry for years so it would not be unlikely that SRT used it on the trains.

Take no notice of him.

I reckon he has a pint of Vinegar and Pepper first thing in the morning.  :cheesy:
