Police lieutenant reportedly crashed his pickup truck into five motorcycles in Buriram, killing one and injuring three people

Buriram – A police lieutenant was reportedly caught driving his pickup truck and crashing into five motorcycles in the Nang Rong District of Buriram province at around 6:00 PM. on Wednesday, September 21st, instantly killing one motorcyclist and injuring three people.

CCTV footage in front of a Thai restaurant on the Nang Rong-Chamni road captured the moment when the official, who was later identified as Lieutenant Suthin Kongnanta, who was also a deputy inspector of the Buriram Provincial Police, rammed his truck into motorcycles waiting for a traffic light at the traffic island.

 

A 25-year-old motorcyclist who was waiting to make a U-turn at the scene was killed instantly.

The police lieutenant was ordered to conduct a blood test for possible alcohol or drug abuse. The results are undergoing. Meanwhile, Buriram Police Commissioner Ruthaphol Nawarat strictly ordered the Nang Rong district police to conduct an investigation with justice and without bias after relatives of the victims expressed their concern about the investigation which mainly involved a police officer.

 

I can certainly understand their concern as there is already a distinct lack of information ...!!!

Another day in the life of the RTP believing the LAW does not apply to them, the FACT that other Police Officers have to be told to conduct the investigation without bias is more telling to me.

Anyone else would have been immediately arrested, and locked up. So, what gives? Special treatment for one of their own? Does the law not apply to officers? This man needs to be arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned for the rest of his life. And his family should be forced to sell their home, and his condos and villas, to pay reparations.

The only chance he has of being charged is if his manager can smell a potential asset confiscation and personal profit from the situation. These police are dirtier than  used toilet paper.
