Thai female world snooker champion Nutcharut "Mink" Wongharuthai added the world mixed doubles title earlier today when she won in Milton Keynes, England, with Australian Neil Robertson.

The pair picked up more than a million baht each (30,000 pounds) for their 4-2 win over English pair Mark Selby and Rebecca Kenna in a tournament that was televised live in Thailand.

Robertson praised his partner for being instrumental in the qualifying round when Mink rolled in a 74 break to help them reach the final.

Mink, 22, is based in Bangkok at the High Ten snooker club where she completed the first recorded 147 maximum break by a woman.

She won the world individual women's championship earlier this year beating a Belgian lady in Sheffield, England.

Saw some of it on TV last night. Amazing how calm she was under pressure. Congratulations!

She has a fabulous cue action, honed by many years growing up in her parents' snooker club.

Her only limitations seem to be related to her small size - some shots on  the huge 12x6 are quite challenging for her, and she lacks some cue power.

But she is a tremendous player - she won a professional match on the Men's Tour last month against a player ranked 70 or so. She could be a real force in snooker for the next decade, if things go well.

This was great news to wake up to in Loei this morning. I'll try and get an interview with Mink when she gets back to Bangkok. So proud of all the successes of Thai snooker players, men and women.

CONGRATULATIONS! I saw her make about a 75-point run last night on TV. ????

Neil Robertson did well too as he has not played since April in any tournament.

Yes, she beat Mitchell Mann 4 - 2 in The Northern Ireland Open Qualifiers. She'll face either Ricky Walden (seeded 16) or Ziao Guodong in the best of 7 last 64 in Belfast.

If anyone's interested, there is YouTube video of her 147 - type in something like 'High End Mink 147', and you should get it.

Needless to say, she doesn't put a foot wrong throughout.

She seems to be continuing her winning streak.. hope this year and next shows she is still learning and growing with experience.

These wins will boost her confidence no end.

Snooker isn't played in the US in too many places, but in the little, rural, Indiana town I grew up in, there was one "pool hall," and it had three snooker tables and only one pool table. The owner was an old guy and a former Brit. Anyway, those of us who wanted to play usually ended up playing snooker and only played on the pool table while waiting for a snooker table to open up.

I enjoy the game very much... ????

Her parents didn't own a snooker club.
