It is all about Siriraj and King Chulalangkorn Hospitals

Featured Replies

Dear all,

Can you go spesialist clinics there ( Siriraj and King Chulalangkorn Memorial Hospitals ) without a referral letter?

Do these 2 hospitals follow dual pricing policy?

What do you think of these 2 hospitals?

What is your experience while being there?

Thanks

You do not need a referral from elsewhere. MOST  specialty clinics can be directly

Siriraj has dual pricing. I don't know if Chula does or not.

Siriraj has s private wing where you can directly access the top specialists (in public channel  you will deal mostly with interns and residents, and doctors have limited time per patient). But prices are on par with mid range private hospitals.

Chula has an "after hours" clinic where you can also directly see senior doctors and it is reasonable in cost (but of course stillmore than the public channel).

siriraj has 25% added for foreigners.

this extra charge suppose to give vip treatment, but in reality they don't offer speed service.

I have switched from siriraj to their affiliated hospital in salaya (west of bkk - next to mahidol uni campus). Much faster service. Cheaper (looks like they don,t add up this 25%) - colonoscopy + gastro under full anastesia 18.5k.

I would imagine that they would refer to siriraj if treatment beyond their scope or they don't have proper equipment.
