A vicious murderer being portrayed in the Thai media as cool, calm and collected was denied bail yesterday.

Charnwit or "Don" has already admitted to murdering Orawan or "Phim" and charges of dismembering and concealing a corpse.

He cut her into seven pieces in the province of Samut Prakan then took the bits into the city and buried them under the expressway in the Lad Prao area.

He then dumped his tools and other evidence in a klong.

Rachanee, 57, the deceased's mother said that she had offered forgiveness but wanted the full weight of the law on the head of her daughter's murderer.

"I want to ask him why he did that to my daughter?" she told Thai Rath

She outlined how her daughter had had an on again, off again relationship with the suspect. She believed her daughter had kept her distance from him following her advice.

They had met on a ruse of sorting things out.

According to police Don spent a stress free night in the cells before being taken to the Samut Prakan court.

Bail was opposed by the police due to the brazen nature of the crime.

The police said it was an open and shut case in which the suspect has admitted everything and the evidence and witness statements match perfectly.

So,  if he hadn't cut her up they would have given him bail ?

You don't get bail if you show three fingers. Murder possibly.????
