Can anyone help a first timer on Non Imm B for a new company (teaching). I'm going to Singapore in a few weeks. Got my company registration/stamp ok, my house (company name) , Police clearance UK, health cert (Thai) What else do I need to take there to get the Non B. I read a letter from the company signed by someone , not me..as I'm the sole owner what can I do?

Help appreciated, immigration unhelpful here. Is Singapore ok for it ie no hassle?

I don't know what you mean by a "teaching company," but if that can be interpreted as a school or educational institution, then unless you are Thai you cannot be the sole owner and have the place properly registered as such- it takes something like seven owners (minimum) plus a Thai with an educational qualification as the director. Furthermore, I'm not even really sure that you (as a foreigner) can be the sole owner of *any* business here (though you'd need to check that out in the business section here).

If your company is not actually considered an educational institution, then the proper place to put this thread would be in the business section, as the requirements for getting the work permits, visas, etc., would be different.

Are you talking about a language school?

If you're new, I'm sure you won't have a school licence yet. So, even if you can get the non-immB, it's unlikely that this can be converted to a work permit for teaching until your school obtains its school licence from the MoE.

An alternative is that you are 'employed' by the company that owns the business/school. In this case you'll need company documents to obtain the non-immB and it won't be for teaching.

However, as you will now be obtaining a company work permit you will have to pay tax based on a minimum salary according to your nationality. I think for Brits it's about 45,000 baht/month which means tax of around 6,000 baht/month regardless of whether your income is below, or not, this figure.
