Starting tomorrow, Saturday October 22nd, is a three day holiday weekend in Thailand as Monday is a national holiday.

Sunday, October 23rd is King Chulalongkorn day, or Rama V. However, the observed day will be Monday, October 24th. Government offices, including Immigration, will be closed this day and for many it is a day off. For more about this holiday click here.

Also Monday, but not part of the Thai holidays, is Diwali (or Deepavali), for many Indians and those who are Hindu, Jain, or Sikh one of if not the biggest holiday of the year. This day is sure to see Indian themed restaurants and clubs packed with excited Indian tourists as well as Indian expats and Thai-Indians. There will also be many religious ceremonies and events by those who mark this day across Thailand.

In a normal society there should be a weekend which is not counted as a holiday, but in THailand every day is a working day so indeed tomorrow is a day off and Sunday and Monday too ... but don't call it weekends ...just 3 day holiday is better

You have kids at Thai school ? Does not sound like it. They are never there it seems due to 'public' holidays, for the love of God do not encourage more week days off
