Can anyone recommend a good brand of matches?

We've always used a brand of matches that really sucks. Half of them in any box don't have enough powder, and the strike plate is smooth. I'm adding a screen shot of what we use. Can anyone recommend a brand that I can order online that just works? Thanks.

I didn't even realise that companies still make matches nowadays!  Can't you use a gas lighter?

You may be able to get them online nowadays, don't know if they could be shipped to Thailand for safety reasons.

I just have a butane gas lighter, only used for lighting candles if there is a power failure.

My biggest need is to light my very old char broil gas grill. the ignitor has long since stopped working. I guess I could try to source parts for it. I'm not sure if a long-stem gas lighter could get through the grates. Now I turn on the gas and drop a match between the grates, but when it takes 2 or 3 matches to get one lit I can very easily lose my eyebrows LOL. For indoor use (candles, etc.) of course I could use a gas lighter, I'll order one to at least make life happier indoors. Thanks.

Thanks. Yes, I'll get a few of these for indoors. If you read my other reply you'll see my need for matches to light my gas grill.

You know what? I have one, I use it when torching creme brulee. Good idea.

Some people will have heard of "spills". I think that they are effectively very thin candles and up to about 30 cm long. They go through narrow grating easily. Don't need to drop anything through the gaps.

Where to get them in Thailand? no idea

Diamond may be one of the only brands left that makes high quality wooden matches. I like them too. I buy them in the US and carry them back. Especially great for the bathroom!

I can't believe it, I'm watching racing from Flemington and Old Flame is one of the favourites in the next!

You could also use a hemp wick.  This is a 3m roll.   Light the end and poke it down between the grate.
