scorecard
I have Windows 10. As in the title above suddenly have this issue. Quite annoying and time consuming. I've done some surfing but I'm lost what to do next. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks.

scorecard
I found an easy remedy: - As you would do in any approach put the cursor just before the first letter of the text you want to highlight. - Now hold down one of the 'Shift' buttons. - Now run your mouse along whatever you want to highlight. It's worked every time.
steven100
I have the same problem, to try to copy and paste a word or sentence the highlighting jumps from one word to the next and all over the shop ... it does work properly after 5-6 attempts but it's damn annoying. I will try your solution scorecard. thanks

lungbing
When I want to cut and paste I start my highlighting from the end of the cut and work back to the start point, then hit ctrl-C. I find it more controlable.

You shouldn't have to touch the shift key, just hold down the left button on the mouse as you're selecting the required section.. 1
