60 day extension to visit spouse and family

Featured Replies

Can anybody tell me what paperwork is required to request a 60 day extension to visit my Thai spouse and family? I entered visa exempt last week from US.

You will have to apply for the normal 30 day extension of your visa exempt entry before applying for the 60 day extension.

You wife will need to be with you when you apply for the 60 day extension

Marriage certificate plus a copy of it. Some office may also want a copy of the Kor Ror 2 marriage registry.

Signed copies of your wife's ID card and house book registry.

Copy of your passport photo page and entry stamp.

Not striclty true about 30 day first.

Just last week extended ( on Married to a Thai basis ) from Visa Exempt entry to 60 days.

Yes the Immigration Officer suggested you can do 30 + 60 however explained only needed 50 days becuase leaving Thailand and no further questions.

60 days issued from a visa exempt.

Hope this assists.

That depends on the office and or the officer accepting the application.

Just stating the standard procedure immigration does.
