Just like any other extension for visa exempt entry. It is 30-day as before. Why do you think 45, 30, 15 days? God (if there is one) save Thailand from quality tourists.

"God (if there is one) save Thailand from quality tourists. " = how do you relate "quality" to length of stay?

 

What a bizarre comment..... the immigration may have considered that a total of 60 days was sufficient

They may have stuck with a max of 30 - you don't actually have to have all that!

Or they may have been trying to get people to stay for up to 90 days, which could be very useful to some.

 

If you enter on a 45 day you have to leave the country and make a borderline wants to get extension or can you just go to immigration and get 30 days

Prior to expiry of 45 day stamp you need to apply for extension OR exit Thailand.

If you exit you can reenter visa exempt again to obtain another 45 day permission of stay.

The 30 day extension. Is optional..
