Arrived at 1.10pm today for my 2.00 pm appointment for Retirement Visa Extension.

Please outline what documents that you provided.

You mentioned arrived 1.10pm.

What did you do for bank letter.

Did you use money in bank method.

Did you provide bank book ages copies or 12 month of bank statements.

Assume you also provided 90 report receipt.

Photocopies of various pages of your passport.

Anything else?

I used the money in the bank method.  I made a withdrawal from my account and then got a bank account letter earlier in the day and made copies of each page in my bank book (3 pages).

In addition to the form/photograph; passport and bankbook,  I provided photocopies of:

From my passport:  main page; Visa; last extension; last entry into Thailand

All the bank details above

90 day report receipt

Hand drawn map of the location of my apartment

At the "Document Check" desk (L27) they gave me 3 more forms to complete  - but basically just sign

At the "Online Appointment" desk (L32) I presented all of the above.

Nothing else was presented or required by the officer, who checked everything again, made some notes and referred me to another, more senior officer,  in the next cubicle.  She was busy at the time and asked me to wait outside.  5 minutes later my passport and bank book were returned all stamped up.

As you would expect. Putting a stamp in a passport isn't rocket science.

This is a good example of how things can work well at CW if applicants prepare correctly. Not sure what your point is regarding stamping a passport not being rocket science. I don't think we need you to be stating the obvious to us.

I specifically asked the OP to list exactly what he provided.

I was interested what the io required for proof of funds using money in bank method.

I personally had issues with this in November and io wanted bank statements.

The other take away from that visit is that I was very surprised by the change in io,s appearance etc.

I also along with OP used appointment L32 desk.

The io that I dealt with had zero English (normally not an issue) and seemed to be  very inexperienced. Hence when small confusion arose with bank book pages she had no idea how to understand.

The IO's at L27 and at L32 both had passable English (certainly better than my Thai); seemed experienced in their roles and were decidedly friendly and helpful.

It was already clear that you had good dealing and outcome.

I did not.

My reply was to post that implied any issues at CW basically down to the application.

I've never had any issues with Chaeng Wattana in 8 years except one minor whinging episode about presenting too many bank accounts and she would only process one of them.

Neither had I untill last one recently. (October).

I have made more than several extensions CW.

The io was very young. Could not engage in any way.

When I tried to point out her error (I got out 2 words)  she did not reply in any way and sent me to her superior.

That area L32 had track suit type pants on and polo top.

From the start and first greet I thought ....is this an apprentice.

She made error in bank book pages.
