Thailand’s central bank to introduce rules to limit bank system outages

The Bank of Thailand (BoT) is to issue a new regulation which seeks to put a time limit on commercial banks’ mobile banking app outages, to ease the impacts on customers, according to Kitti Kosavisutte, committee chairman of the Thailand Banking Sector Computer Emergency Response Team (TB-CERT).

Thai police to overhaul service pistol management and gun welfare scheme

The Royal Thai Police (RTP) are in the process of revising the entire management of service pistols and the welfare gun program, under which police officers can buy their own guns at lower than market prices, says Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol, the deputy national police chief.

Complaint Filed Against Policeman After Fracas At Karaoke Lounge

A LAMPANG resident came with his lawyer to file a complaint at the Central Investigation Bureau against a Narcotics Suppression Bureau police officer who had assaulted him and his friends at a karaoke lounge and fired his pistol at them as they fled the scene with no progress made in half a month, Matichon newspaper said Thursday (Nov. 10).
