The army are in training so to be able to take over for emergencies.

The distraction of COVID has passed, so refuse to negotiate with unions and hide for a little longer behind the distraction of strikes.

Due to inflation being at 10 %  , workers need a 10 % wage rise just to keep up with living costs , got the buses and trains going on strike as well and a few others  .

 

Ambulance bosses beg unions to protect heart attack and stroke patients when paramedics and call handlers go on strike - but pensioners who fall at home could be left stranded by walkouts as MPs warn lives are being put at risk

• Tens of thousands of union members will walk out on December 21 over pay row
• On strike will be paramedics, emergency care assistants and call handlers
• Unions want more than the 4% pay rise they have been given by the Government
• But health bosses pleading with unions not to leave low-priority patients in pain
• Patients who suffer falls are unlikely to be sent an ambulance during the strikes
