The gold shop-owner opened fire at them, forcing them to turn and run. Five more shots were fired by the shop owner, killing one and injuring another, who was later arrested by the police

They won't try that again.

Is that so he did not have to shoot them

They fired first outside showing intent to injure, then tried to force entry into his shop..

He gets my thumbs up.

Which goes to show how barking the law is in western countries. Pity he didn't get them all.

It's usually a lone robber that grabs a handful of Gold ,and is off,

4 robber's looks like they intended to clear the shop out, lucky for

the owner that they did not get inside ,

In a country I know well the crims are not afraid of the cops, and the young ( 13 and under ) crims are not even arrested.

Insanity.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Tony Martin went down for manslaughter in the UK for the exact same thing.

Which is part of the reason the west is going to follow the Romans into history. Any country that penalises citizens for standing up to crims is IMO heading for extinction.

wait you live in a gold shop ?

keep perpetuating violence with more violence..... that should fix it.

LOL. The softly softly be nice to evil people approach to criminals isn't working. I'm all for saving the taxpayers the cost of a trial and subsequent time in jail.

Crime wasn't a problem in Saudi when I was there, but they amputate thieves hands.

Terminating evil doers tends to prevent them doing it again, so I'm all for it. Sick of bad people being released from jail only to murder the innocent.

in general it is illegal to shoot someone when they are running from you and no longer a threat.

Happily that doesn't seem to be the case in LOS.

They are a threat as long as alive as if they escaped they'd do it again.

The only mistake the shopkeeper made was not killing all four of them.  imo

They were probably running too fast to be able to hit them with a shotgun.

Hosing the street down? Don't talk <deleted>, he didn't use a machine gun!

Seems someone has been watching Hollywood movies.

Opposite a school and vendors directly outside

Valliant gold dealer hosing the street with high speed lead through his glass frontage

What could possibly go wrong

Apparently he used a shotgun. Shotguns don't shoot "high speed lead" and a wall across the street would stop the shot.

where am i saying be soft or nice ? i am speaking in regards to violence and our species. a far different approach is needed in the coming generations...one which most will be reluctant to accept.

Good luck with that. The bad guys are winning in the west, and it's good to see that not all countries have gone soft on crims.

its coming believe me. eradicating crime and changing the human condition is something that will be big in the coming generations.

The 'alleged' seems a bit redundant.

A semi-auto 12 gauge.

Yep. Shooting at them in the shop seems reasonable (If four guys, at least two of whom are visibly armed, break into your place of business, do you politely ask them to leave), but the guy in the shop also kept shooting at them once they were outside.

Yup, fair play.

Too bad the shop owner only got two perps. All four dead perps would be a better world to live in.

Which is the problem they simply steal from others less able to protect themselves. Pity he didn't get the other two. Wonder how many others will suffer at their hands?

I think it unlucky the robbers didn't get inside and a great loss to society as there would have more than likely been 4 less low-life's still breathing.
