How long to stop wearing Contact Lenses before Cataract Surgery eye measurements?

Recommended Posts

I wear soft Contact Lenses every day.

I have read from the net and possibly also in this subforum that (Contact Lenses change the shape of the eye and) it is necessary to stop wearing them  prior to eye measurements for cataract surgery.

If you were in this situation, how long were you instructed to stop wearing them before the eye measurements?

I've seen times ranging from 3 days to 4 - 6 weeks.

Thank you.

Agree, the answer has been different from different doctors when asked this question. So far, the safe number seems to be at least 2 weeks, but you should double check the doctor performing your surgery.
