Arizona sheriff vows to stop 'illegal' shipping crate border barrier

Amid growing controversy, an Arizona sheriff has vowed to stop the construction of an "illegal" wall of shipping containers at the US-Mexico border if it reaches his county.

The makeshift barrier is being built by Governor Doug Ducey in his waning days in office.

Construction began earlier this year, with Mr Ducey saying it was an attempt to "secure" the border.

Better to put these containers around the Governor's mansion and fence Ducey in.

Considering the current administration in Washington hasnt done Jack Squat about the problem, I can see incentive for governors to take desperate measures.  Funny how Trump's wall was decried yet Biden wants to do the same thing...

 

I say it is probably easier to use the containers as holding cells for illegals who cross. Then it would be easy to load them onto trucks and ship them back across the border.

Well, he has already reversed course from his promise of "not another foot of border wall".  Filling in gaps, then who knows. At least he is acknowledging that Trump was right.

If the rich and powerful nations who control the worlds economy weren't so unholy pernicious then maybe the populations of the nations they so callously exploit wouldn't leave their homes in order to try to feed and save their children's lives.

Given the ongoing global shipping container shortage, Mexico must be paying a fortune to buy all these ones in order to build the wall.
