Whether the insurgency was or was not on behalf of Trump, such case would give surely a pretty precedent to many cases of a street riots (e.g. on behalf of George Floyd) while a policeman died being killed or getting a heart attack.  So, the policeman's family will sue George Floyd family for 50M?

As in George Floyd’s ‘Commander in Chief’ family’?

Filing a lawsuit is effectively communicating with DT in his own language: MONEY!

Anyone who has ever received a death threat after he publicly denounced them should get on it.  That's a lot of people.  Maybe even Fauci?

"Thrombosis does not develop overnight"?

Yet Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a common occurrence on flights more than fours hours.

In fact a seemingly young healthy personal friend of mine developed DVT after a seven hour overnight drive without a  rest break.

These are facts from a reality unaltered by "Orange" Kool-Aid.

Strokes too. I'm going out on a limb here and going to claim that all thrombosis develop in a short period of time. I suffered an abdominal thrombosis, fine one day, not the next.

The events of the day only need to contribute to his death to entitle his family to sue. They don't need to be the primary cause of his death.

We see nowadays in world news every day such riots incited by various causes where the casualties of the police force are sometimes occurring.  Either directly injured or some later problems. Whether there are such sue cases?

Wondering whether the Brasilia ex-president Bolsonaro will be sued for the parliament storming yesterday?

Good question? You have any insights into Brazilian law that could help us whether there could be a civil and/or legal case brought against him?

Lawyers must love people that file cases like this. Great publicity and they get paid even if the client loses.

I'll be extremely surprised if this case succeeds.

Maybe it's a case of karma for the huge number of baseless lawsuits that Trump has filed.

The most interesting part is discovery which is particularly potent in civil suits.

Not sure how wealthy the partner of Sicknick is to pay the lawyers bills if they do lose?

Besides there's another two defendants, the rioters Julian Khater and George Tanios. Its not just about Trump

The discovery phase is going to be a riot. ????

Another summons has been issued to Donald Trump in a case related to the Jan. 6 insurrection.

The former president was served notice Monday of a civil lawsuit filed by the longtime girlfriend of the late Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick alleging conspiracy, wrongful death and other complaints against Trump and two rioters involved in the attack, reported CBS News correspondent Scott MacFarlane.

“The horrific events of January 6 2021, including Officer Sicknick’s tragic, wrongful death, were a direct and foreseeable consequence of the defendants’ unlawful actions,” the suit alleges.
