Tourist Visa in Th Consulate in Vientienne

Featured Replies

Hi wondering if anyone has recently received a 60 day tourist visa after being in TH on multiple covid visas, exempts & extensions.  Will there be any issue if I tried or not waste my time and just get an exempt entry again.  Any help is appreciated.

None as of yet, earlier in 2022 came in on visa exempt, and just did covid visa until now ... 1 border run for another exempt.  But in the past 12 months have not done any tourist visas.

In that case no problem.

You can obtain tourist visa at consulates.

Be aware that  both Vientiane and Saigon consulates now require an appointment and may be backed up so check that first.

Think Savannakhet is still walk in option.

Yeah, it's not that much extra but gives me 15 days extra in case needed a bit more time? So maybe its not worth the 2 days in Lao.  I am planning for a longer term option after this run.
