A distressing story now from Laem Chabang, 20kms outside of Pattaya. These pictures come from the A Udom Hospital where Police Lieutenant Colonel Somshai from Laem Chabang Police Station was called in to investigate a case which begun at a Petrol Station, where a young woman gave birth without the assistance of anyone. She was spotted in some distress and was seen to place the newly born baby girl in a refuse bin.

She was prevented from doing so and thankfully the baby was taken into the care of Police and was uninjured. The Baby along with the Mother who refused to speak to anyone about the incident, were taken to Hospital and both are in good health. We are unsure if criminal charges will be brought against the Mother. The Baby, who Police believe is unwanted by the Mother, will be taken into care and put up for adoption.

Cruel Parents Leave New Born Baby Boy

A sad case was reported to the Banglamung Police at 1.30 am on 30th June when they were told by furniture delivery man Mr. Pramai, aged 32 that a new born baby boy was left in his pickup truck.

On arrival at the location, which was in front of the man’s house – near the Pattaya Crocodile Farm, the police found the abandoned 5 day old baby being held by a neighbour.

Mr. Pramai stated that while he was inside the house with his family he heard cries so went out to look. He found the crying baby on the back of his pickup truck – wrapped in a cloth.

He didn’t know what to do so call his neighbour who had a baby to help him. There, she breast fed the baby until he stopped crying, and then they called the police.

No one knows who the baby’s parents are.

Even though the baby survived, he had lots of serious mosquito bites. The police took the baby to the hospital for a checkup and will make DNA tests as evidence, and then send the baby to a local orphanage for care.
