Police emphasise restrictions on foreigner-owned businesses in Thailand

BANGKOK,  (TNA) — The Royal Thai Police would join force with the agencies concerned to inspect and enforce the restrictions on foreigner-owned businesses in Thailand, according to the spokesperson of the Royal Thai Police, Police Major General Archayon Kraithong.

Chinese Tour Agent Plunges to Death at Pattaya Hotel, Police Investigating “Odd Behavior” prior

Pattaya — A Chinese tour agent fell to his death at a Pattaya hotel last night, January 16th, and although there was no immediate sign of another person present at the time, Pattaya police are investigating odd behavior by the victim prior to the incident.

Oil tanker catches fire in Samut Songkhram dockyard, four injured

At least four people were injured and a number of houses sustained damage when an empty oil tanker caught fire, followed by an explosion, while it was undergoing maintenance at a dockyard on the Mae Klong River in Mueang district of Samut Songkhram Tuesday morning.

Election officials told to monitor political activities closely

Thailand’s Election Commission (EC) has instructed election directors in the country’s 77 provinces, including Bangkok, to keep a close watch on the activities of political parties and their candidates, especially incumbent ministers and political office holders, ahead of this year’s General Election.
