Ultra-Fine Dust Monitoring Center Set Up

BANGKOK, Jan 17 (TNA) – The levels of hazardous ultra-fine dust particles, PM 2.5 are likely to rise higher than that recorded last year due to the return of normal activities and businesses after the Covid-19 pandemic, said the Disease Control. Department.


Dr. Thares Krasanairawiwong, Director- General of the Disease Control Department said his department has been monitoring the PM 2.5 situation which is likely to worsen in certain areas than that of last year as activities and traffic return to normal.  

 

He ordered that an operation center was set up to closely monitor the dust pollution in each province.

I've been living here for 10 years and this is the worst burning season I've seen   Thai don't care about the environment in Queensland they used to burn off but they have found better ways to harvest Thailand is far behind on this

So nothings been done then...

stop monitoring it and do something to stop it !!!!

On top of the sugarcane burning we have a dam being built near us. Many of the trees on the landed to be flooded have been felled (no idea why).......the locals are setting fire to that land to make it easier to find branches hidden by the tall grass.....the branches they will then take home and burn for cooking and heating.....!!!
