Visa exempt stamp.

Hi, does the Visa Exempt stamp actually state the date/ 45 days ? I arrive on the 2/03  and after around 40 days will be going to Bali. It will save me buying a throw away ticket which my airline ( emirates at Nice France) always ask me for.

It will save me buying a throw away ticket which my airline ( emirates at Nice France) always ask me for. ( or what proof can I show them that it’s 45 and not 30 days ,)

There was official announcement regarding that.

Will do a search.

A print out of that should be sufficient. 

Google search shows announcements to verify the change to 45 days till March 31.

Ive had a good look , but can see only forums, publicity and  FB.

The visa exempt stamp is irrelevant in that you won't have it prior to check-in in France - Emirates will obviously know you will get stamped in for 45 days though (assuming you are flying prior to 31 March as it stands).

 

If you have already booked your flight to Bali, and Emirates asks on check-in to your flight to Thailand, your flight to Bali will suffice. If you haven't already booked flight to Bali might be an idea to do so before heading to the airport.

Yes thought about that, but would mean fixed dates . I can do it though, a paper at check in Emirates will avoid the hassle of explaining. I’ve been an emirates member for years , traveling often, and it’s always the same old rigmarole,

Yes, can be a pain in the proverbial. Luckily (depending on how you look at it) the vast majority of the time it hasn't been an issue for me due to limited time off work so I have return flight booked. I've only personally run into it on a couple of occasions, most notably when I took three months long service leave.

 

If you are sure you will be asked and still want to maintain flexibility perhaps you can find a fully refundable flight out and book just before going to the airport (cancel after immigration) or buy one of the "fake" tickets for around $10-19, can also just have it setup and purchase there and then at check-in if pushed.

Whenever you are flying on an IATA member airline (pretty much all the major ones) and are unsure whether you meet the requirements for your trip, the IATA Travel Center site is up to date and reliable. For a planned trip to Thailand, you can start at https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/TH-Thailand-passport-visa-health-travel-document-requirements.htm, enter all the information requested, and it will tell you of any requirements you do not satisfy. Screen shots from this site can be useful if you have any problem at airline check in.

I visited in Sept/Oct on a 60 day visa.  In late October, I bopped over to Vietnam for a week.  Coming back in I got a stamp and a handwritten 45 day thing. 

 

Funny, but my buddy who went at the same time applied for 90 days, but only got 60, so he had to extend.
