Pita Prepared To Become PM, Vows To Switch Off ‘Sam Por’ Powers

MOVE FORWARD LEADER Pita Limjaroenrat today (Jan.28) reconfirmed he has already prepared to become Thailand’s 30th prime minister, denying further rule of coup leader-turned-premier Prayut Chan-o-cha and others associated with the 2014 coup junta.

 

Delivering a campaign speech at Thammasat University Rangsit campus, Pita called on the people nationwide to only vote for the Move Forward so his party could become core of a post-election government with himself being elected prime minister at parliament.

 

Nevertheless, the 250 senators all of whom had been handpicked by the coup junta under leadership of the then-army chief Prayut will almost certainly not pick the Move Forward leader for head of a post-election government.

I hope Pita continues to be a PITA for the junta.    Junta spends too much money prepping for the invasion that's never going to happen.   Subs, F35s, new Gulfstream ????

 

Same as all govts.  Could be better spent on social programs.

In accordance to the 2017 Constitution of Thailand, the senate is a non-partisan legislative chamber composed of 250 appointed members. 

 

I threw up knowing that the 2017 constituton was drafted by the post coup government has that clause. They got to be joking. Anyway Prayut having the biggest laugh that he can pull that of and intend to stay longer with help from that non-partisan appointed (by the army) members. LOL.

The question is not, if "Pita (or any other self-declared expert on Thai democracy is) prepared to become PM". The question should read - first and foremost:

• what the electorate is prepared to vote for?
• where are the respective party programmes outlining their agenda? 
• what would elected politicians do for electorate and country if they would get into the government? 

In almost 40 years of living here, the name of the game seems to be "forget the irrelevant uneducated voters and feed them pocket-money-cash for their votes" as well as "where are the throughs where we can feed us, our families, friends and cronies on the expense of afore-mentioned voters". In addition "amend the laws to suit our needs and lifestyle" and "forget the buffalo voters until next election, when the perpetual merry-go-round will be in full swing again.
