Daily News Thai Caption: Camps again! (inset: why aren't kids wearing life jackets?)

Daily News reported on what they said was a "social media drama" playing out on a popular site.

A clip featured a group of ten+ children crossing a river on a raft.

They were not wearing life jackets.

A male and a female teacher could be heard shouting:

"Hold on tight", in Thai.

Netizens were worried about the depth of the water, the raft itself and the lack of safety standards in general.

The school camp was in Surin, NE Thailand and another example of poor safety on such trips that usually feature guides and scouts on residential stays.

Daily News tried to find out the school involved.
