His wife is a US citizen, why shouldn't they reside there. Who said it' permanent? They are young. Harry remains a UK citizen and they could return to live in the UK at anytime. That's not a good argument.

I am pretty much a Harry fan and to a lesser extent a Harry & Megan fan.  Harry is a Prince and he is a member of the royal family.  He now resides in the US, but given his connections to the UK, he will no doubt have reason to spend time in the UK.  I fully understand that Frogmore is probably a much larger and more elaborate home than he needs.  I am sure they can find some adequate, smaller place that would afford him and his family a place to stay when they visit.   He still needs to be in a secure location, and that would probably be on the royal property.  

 

I do wonder why Edward, who is not married and has no minor children, needs such an elaborate place to live.  I don't recall the exact reference in the book, but there was a place where he made a remark about a sex-offending member of the family ranked higher than a Spare.

There have been allegations of sexual offences, no charges have ever been brought or real evidence submitted in the US or UK. He has made himself available for interview by the authorities investigating Epstein's affairs. What he has not done is danced attendance on them in New York, which would result in a media circus, and possibly a feeding frenzy by lawyers with political ambitions!

 

He reached an out of court settlement with his accuser, to avoid the affair overshadowing his mother's Platinum Jubilee, and no doubt conscious that she was in the last month's of her life.

 

He is widely regarded as an arrogant pompous individual with a strong sense of entitlement, unpleasant characteristics perhaps but not criminal offences. Personally I think he is a rather sad, perhaps unsavoury, individual; but he was loved by, and loved, his mother, perhaps why he will continue to be provided with a house by his brother the King.

You seem to have a lot of false-insight into Andrew.  That huge settlement was paid by the Queen, and it was only done to avoid a trial.  So, was there evidence?   Yes.   Hopefully other posters will be along to set you straight on Andrew.

Charles did much damage to the royal family when he started his affair with Camilla while still married to Diana. He has been widely hated since then. Royals do not engage in affairs outside of marriage. Andrew has demolished what what left of the royal family's credibility. The monarchy is a joke now.

How can anyone be a "Harry Fan"?   What talent does he have?   He is average man in every possible metric who happens to have been born into a monarchy.   If not for this accident of birth what do you imagine he would have achieved in life given his "talents"?

Doesn't that apply to most Royals, unless actually skilled in something other than 'birthright'.

 

Harry can pilot an Apache helicopter and imagine it wouldn't be much to convert that to a civilian helicopter license.

As it stuck with me, it stuck with my daughter.   She was out with friends, as a teen, and I asked 'how they got there ?'   answer was MB, and next question was 'did you wear a helmet ?'  as she knows I didn't like her on MBs and you better wear a helmet.   She answered 'No', knowing I'd by pisss'd, but told the truth anyway.   That's how we were raised, that shows character.

 

Yes, being an honest person matters in my world, and says a lot about someone's character.

I can fly a plane if that helps?   Learning to fly any kind of machine just requires training and requires no more natural talent than learning to drive a car.    Average people fly helicopters every day.   

 

I have nothing against Harry, but his behaviour does suggest lower than average intelligence and given the family he was born into he could and should have done better with his life.   He has done nothing of note that should earn him "fans" and I have no doubt his royal connections meant that he took the place of someone more talented who could have carried out that role more effectively.   The mere status of being a royal would have meant he would have been treated differently to his colleagues and would likely have been a burden rather than a help in any conflict.
