Where Is The Sun?!

Having not yet spent a full year in Thailand/Chiang mai, im not too familiar with the weather (even though ive read up a little).

Well, I was prepared for the mad rainfall and storms (in fact i quite like it), but not really prepared for the grey clouds with no sign of sun day in day out. I miss the sun, and I get a bit down in the dumps without it to be honest. Thankfully yesterday was a glorious sunshiny brief respite from the recent overcast days, just hope for more like it soon.

Is the lack of sunshine normal for this time of year?

Even during the rainy season, CMai is not as cloudy as Ireland or England. Or as my Thai partner says, "crowddy."

This season reminds me of the same time in central America. But there are breaks of sunshine throughout the day, off and on.

I love it those cloudy days. It really gives a break from the heat. And compared with the Dutch or English weather, you just know it doesn't last long ever.
