Water pump questions

Hi Everyone, 

Why is it my water pump isn't consistently pumping, its intermittent, as in pumping ever 2 seconds. Is this normal? The pressure for my showers is not very good aswell. The external pressure is fine though. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a waterlogged pressure tank ???? 

 

Usually an easy fix ???? 

 

Can you post a photo of your pump with the plastic cover off (if it has one) and someone will be along with simple instructions.

Showers require higher pressure than normal tap flow but there are things to check.  Almost all will have a metal filter on entry line that may get clogged with dirt and can easily be cleaned.  A fine spray shower head can also make it feel stronger, and are very cheap.  They are advertised as hi pressure and almost flat.  As for water pump does it have a pressure tank or is it designed to pump continually.

Most likely the problem is  the pressure switch is not properly adjusted or has malfunctioned.

A replacement part for a Mitshubishi water pump will cost about 800B.

If the pressure outsite is fine it can't be a problem with the pump. Maybe the mesh filters of your faucets or showers are cloked or the pipes direct behind the faucets are almost closed from iron particels.
Easy to fix.

Ours has done that since the tank was replaced, bleeding the water out used to work in the past but not now. No amount of screwing the pressure switch up or down makes any difference. Try turning the water off and letting it all out of the pump first, what model is it?
