Report Thailand Sees a Surge in COVID-19 Cases: Concerns for Public Health
From the linked article... 🙂 While the strength of our study is its nationwide unselected sample of fertile women, the observed association between decreased SC rates and COVID-19 vaccination is, of course, not proof of a causal relationship between vaccination and fecundability. -

Crime Gang of Motorbike Thieves Nabbed in Huai Khwang After Two-Month Crime Spree
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. Police in Huai Khwang have arrested four men believed to be members of a notorious motorcycle theft ring known as the “Bueng Rama 9 Gang”, responsible for stealing over 20 motorcycles in just two months. According to Pol. Lt. Gen. Attaporn Wongsiriprida, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 1, the suspects were apprehended following a coordinated operation led by Deputy Commander Pol. Col. Sakaya Saengwan, Huai Khwang Police Chief Pol. Col. Prasopchok Iampinit, and Investigation Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Chanapat Suksawat. The key suspect, identified as 20-year-old Thanakorn, also known as “Bas”, is believed to be the gang leader. He was arrested alongside three accomplices: Teerayut, 28, Yutthana, 29 and Amornphong, 20. All four were detained under arrest warrants issued by the Criminal Court on charges of “joint night-time theft”. The investigation began after several victims reported the theft of their motorcycles to Huai Khwang police. Officers reviewed CCTV footage, though efforts were initially hindered because the gang used unregistered motorcycles during their crimes. Through in-depth investigative work, officers discovered that the suspects routinely gathered near Bueng Rama 9 to plan their heists. The gang operated with a clear division of labour: some members scouted for potential targets, others stole the motorcycles, which were then moved to a location on Rama 9 Road. Buyers would later be contacted to collect the stolen vehicles. Police revealed that the thefts typically occurred between midnight and 04:00, with more than 20 motorcycles stolen over a span of just two months. Once the authorities identified the suspects’ locations, they launched a coordinated operation to arrest all four men. During preliminary interrogation, all suspects reportedly confessed to the charges. The accused are now in custody and have been handed over to Huai Khwang investigators for legal proceedings. Pol. Col. Sakaya praised the investigative team for swiftly resolving the case, which he said had brought relief to the local community. He urged anyone with further information about vehicle thefts in the area to come forward, stating that additional leads could assist police in expanding the investigation and preventing future crimes.
