A federal judge will hear arguments Wednesday in a high-stakes court case that could threaten access to medication abortion and blunt the authority of U.S. drug regulators.

Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk of Texas is weighing a lawsuit from Christian conservatives aimed at overturning the Food and Drug Administration’s more than 2-decade-old approval of the abortion pill mifepristone.

The drug, when used with a second pill, has become the most common method of abortion in the U.S.

This does not bode well for women.  Not at all.

S.C. Republicans propose bill that could subject women who have abortions to the death penalty

South Carolina Republicans are pushing legislation that would make a person who undergoes an abortion subject to the state's homicide laws, which include the death penalty.

Sheesh, even Alex Murdaugh didn't get the death penalty in SC for murdering his wife and son.

Yes, this case in Texas, filed in a federal district where only one conservative judge - who was only confirmed after a long, long struggle- will decide on a nation-wide ban, is disturbing.

But I say go for it. Keep digging, the blowback on the assualt of individual rights will be immense.
