How anyone could be enthusiastic about the most miserable usurper of democracy, beggars belief.

And the greatest usurper is at the very top.

Been of this nature for ages.

FIL told me this morning that he's going to vote for the incumbent, due to an apparent 'promise' of 2K baht per month pension. Other than that, it doesn't make any difference to him who's in the government...

That unelected soldier and his cronies should be back at their barracks and parade grounds. They are no use as politicians as they only have the average low Thai IQ.

There is another ruling and over lording entity that has no place in civil society...but exist as a matter of designed and ingrained tradition.

Remember why a military presence exist here. Remember why a military presence exist, and highly romanced, anywhere.

"Remember why a military presence exist here."

It exists through the greed of an unelected PM who with his soldiers took over the country by force, and if, and it is a big if, a non military government takes over at the next election, it will only be a matter of time before some other greedy soldier who see's how well off financially the present one has become, will do the exact same thing again.

This means you really don't know......As it appears to be quite evident among most here.

At least they've stopped Thailand becoming like the West, so don't be too hard on them.

I see where you are coming from but it is not the present unelected government who have stopped Thailand becoming like the west, things were like that before they illegally stole the country, and I hope the present incumbent eventually ends up in jail.
