Chinese Kidnappers Have Still Not Released Hostages

A CHINESE woman and her brother who were ransom kidnapped by their compatriots in Chonburi yesterday (Mar. 20) after dropping off her son to school have still not been released even though over 24 hours have passed since their abduction but police are chasing the criminals, Naewna newspaper said.

 

At 1 p.m. yesterday Mr. Ma Mingshun, 33, a Chinese businessman, reported to Nong Prue police that his Chinese wife, Ms. San Chiqiang, 33, and her 50-year-old brother had been kidnapped after they had dropped off their three-year-old son at Mooltripakdee International School.

 

The Chinese criminal rode up on a motorcycle and after cutting in front of their black Nissan Terra SUV forcing them to stop, got into their SUV and drove off with the two of them. He had contacted Ma via WeChat app and demanded one million yuan ransom, approximately 4.7 million baht.

The branch of the Qingtian county, Zhejiang Province Police "Overseas Service Station" operating in Thailand reports that they gave not acted on this case as Chonburi is in the Fuzhou City Police "Overseas Service Station" operating area.

Yes it is amazing, and there are some Chinese police stations in Canada, believe it or not.

I cannot see how they can legally operate in a foreign country.
