Where do you go to change title and registration for a used car sold by an individual? What do you have to have in the way of documents. Does the seller have to accompany the buyer?

I dont know enough about the document situation but you dont need to take the previous owner with you.

But it might help if they speak Thai & your language.

You will need a certificate from imigration confirming your adress.

do a search on the forum & you will find more specific information.

The place I use,

Head south on the chiang mai to lamphun rd alongside the ping river, just before you reach the mengrai bridge the place is on the left, set back from the road a bit, has parking.

They are quite slow.
