Letter, Or Signed Bank Statement, To Confirm 800k?

Featured Replies

Sorry to take up bandwidth with such a trivial question, but does anybody know if Suan Phlu will accept a bank statement (signed by a bank officer) re the 800,000 retirement account? Or do they require the traditional letter confirming the current balance? The latter takes two days and two trips; the former I can get on the spot.

Sigh...

The requirement is a bank letter and statement or passport copies. I would ask that they provide the letter the same day - there is no reason they can not do so - if they say something about having to put a hold on your account ask them to put the previous days as the account balance date. Any branch manager can sign this letter.

Famous last words! They won't provide a letter on the spot because it's a small mall branch. Apparently all letter requests get routed through the main office (which I don't want to traipse to).

OK. Mall units are not full branch offices and can not do a number of functions. But unless you are very lucky you will require that letter.
