Most times the office has zero people waiting.

BKK might have a couple.

Doesn't take long.

At BKK they even provide an optional service (fee 200b) and they do the paperwork and photo.

I was speaking of a second queue in case I buy a re-entry permit when I get a new extension. Not the same immigration officer, so I guess I would have to queue a second time for the re-entry permit or make 2 appointments both for extension and re-entry permit, planning plan enough time between both appointments

That is correct.

Obviously you need to obtain the extension first then go and get another queue ticket for reentry permit desk.

That's the system at CW.
