Re-entry at immigration or airport?

Wouldn't call it a queue.

At DMK it's an office immediately other side of passport control.

Most times the office has zero people waiting.

BKK might have a couple.

Doesn't take long.

At BKK they even provide an optional service (fee 200b) and they do the paperwork and photo.

I was speaking of a second queue in case I buy a re-entry permit when I get a new extension. Not the same immigration officer, so I guess I would have to queue a second time for the re-entry permit or make 2 appointments both for extension and re-entry permit, planning plan enough time between both appointments

  • Get it at the immigration. Much better and safer. I wouldn't take any risk at the airport (maybe a long queue and bye bye flight ✈️)

  • Departed BKK in late Jan 2023 on an international flight on ANA.  Arrived at the airport at 0420 and checkin was complete at 0600.  Got through security and immigration by 0620.  Got to the gate at 06

  • Both work fine. For me it's a no brainer... If you don't obtain one at time of extension then the airport is a winner. At BKK airport you apply zone 2 just after security and prior to i

That is correct.

Obviously you need to obtain the extension first then go and get another queue ticket for reentry permit desk.

That's the system at CW.
