Problem transitioning from OA to O Non-Immigrant Retirment Visa
So here you got the [only] answer, whingeing is pointless. And why bother with obtaining a Tourist Visa. He can simply enter visa exempt and obtain a Non O retirement and subsequent 12 month extension. -

British Man Arrested in Thailand After 25-Year Visa Overstay
IF he has family here that he is supporting... this would be a very humane manner in which to deal with this. However, a 25 year overstay is a significant violation of regulations - it could be argued that leniency enables further overstayers and encourages further breaches of immigration regulations by others. After 25 years here, I hope he has something and someone to return to in the UK - but yes, I really would like to see leniency in such examples, especially if he is supporting a family. IF however, as LL pointed out, the manner in which he funds himself involves criminal activity then sympathy diminishes. -

BREAKING NEWS 17 Dead in Bus Crash on Hillside Road in Prachinburi
TH has an 8 hr rule for driving long haul. Not sure about how many break hours in between drives. USA ... it is 14 hrs 😎 Although you must do 10 hrs off, before doing another leg. I've actually driven up to 20 hrs straight, took a nap, a munch, maybe a swim, and drove back, maybe 18 more hours on the return, on PHL - MIA/Key Largo or over to Bradenton, FL (Tropicana OJ), as regular runs for me, when playing truck driver Easy, though not on a regular basis. As that would be way too dangerous. -

Israelis in Thailand Urged to Uphold Respectful Conduct
Can you distinguish between spoken Hebrew and spoken Arabic? Or tell the difference between written Hebrew and Arabic? On several occasions I know of, Israelis were mistaken for Arabs because people (Thai and farang) thought they were speaking Arabic. I guess in the mind of an antisemite, it would be easy to twist things round the other way and mistake Arabs for Israelis.
