Stop Complaining
Some folks are bored witless and have nothing better to do than to complain and give others an opportunity to have a little fun with it. -

Are all the "exciting" websites being blocked
What Internet provider does the "good friend" have? Is there just a basic technical error message or a government official "blocked" website? Read a post about someone with 3BB having problems accessing a Thai company site. And then yesterday I (3BB) could not open iherb.com! Changing DNS to Google DNS fixed the problem. -

Crime Swedish Man Beaten by Girlfriend & Mob of 10 Men in Soi Buakhao, Pattaya
Not just in Pattaya (i live in Bkk, for 13 years now. It is day and night compared to 2012). The world and definitly Thailand has changed quite a bit in the past 10 years, COVID accelerated the whole movement. General prices have gone up - people/tourists coming in are definitly more broke - quality has gone down (reference to the old fugglies and younger ones who ask crazy prices, though the latter are increasingly skipping the aging bar-scene and moving online where they make waaay more dough..), and that is a bad mix. The "good fun" is kind of gone in more than one way. Times are changing and moving forward, it won't get back to what it was, nothing really does. -

Photo-story - Where my bike’s been
I got talking to a Dutch colleague, who had planned a trip out to a bike superstore in the fringes of a suburb, to check out a new mountain bike, and I volunteered to join him. It was a 56km ride - my longest ride here, albeit not long in the grand scheme of things, and modest elevations. He was using a way-finding product that took us on some lovely roads that would have been beyond my navigational capabilities, barring a stop at every second junction to check the map, so I might succumb to peer pressure to buy a specialist GPS product, with some form of way-finding. In the absence of that, I went my own way and took a wrong turning on the same on-street detour on the Humber river trail, Southbound on Saturday and Northbound on Sunday. Wrong turnings plural, I suppose. -
