On 4 July 2007, at 06.00 PM, Pol.Maj. Somphol Nakkamphan, Investigator, Pattaya, Banglamung, Chonburi, was notified by Mrs. Ubon Phairoj (43), the proprietor of Sathienphong Legal and Accounting firm, located at 301/74, Moo 12, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi, that Mr. Suriya Phlaignam (34), a messenger employed at the firm, stole almost five hundred thousand baht from the company and then ran away.

Mrs. Ubon, said that Mr. Suriya Phlaignam was a messenger at the office for more than one year and also lived on the office’s second floor with his wife and three children. On the morning of the reported crime, Mrs.Ubon rang the bell to have the office opened, but it appeared that Mr.Suriya and his family were gone. She had to force her way into the office and discovered that many items were missing including: a Honda motorbike, a notebook computer, a Siam Commercial Bank passbook (Thepprasit Branch) and her I.D. card.

Mrs. Ubon went to check her bank account at Siam Commercial Bank (Thepprasit Branch) and, to her dismay, discovered that on 4 July 2007, at 02.00 PM, Mr.Suriya forged her signature and withdraw 420,000 baht, leaving only a balance of one hundred fourteen baht in her account. She suspected that a member of the bank’s staff was an accomplice because the bank's staff always called her to check whenever a large withdrawal was made, but did not do so this time. The police will investigate the crime and arrest the perpetrators.
