General Prayut Chan-o-cha broke an electoral rule which forbids singing and dancing at public events, according to his critics.

The 2014 coup leader, who is a prime minister candidate for the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, was presiding over an event to celebrate the Thai Air Force Day on Monday.

While senior members of the air force were singing on stage, air force chief ACM Alongkorn Wannarot stepped off the stage to invite Prayut up on the stage and the caretaking premier obliged.

He went on to sing and dance on the stage which is allegedly a violation of the electoral law.

Election laws only for other parties not for the current leaders...Bsides that I am happy I was not there.. Only the thought of hearing him sing and seeing him dance gives me shivers...As he did with other candidates now it is time to expel him for 10 years

"...Well if an ex Pm can get booted for cooking fried rice on tv..." It was a little ore complicated than  that and he should have been attending to PM duires not spening hours shopping for ingredients etc (all videod) and at the time many folks mentioned the dish he cooked was very simple, PM duties should have been higher on his priorities.

He was also well known for ignoring laws, regulations, protocols; he 'did it my way' screw the law etc.

"He went on to sing and dance on the stage which is allegedly a violation of the electoral law."

Don't worry he has an amnesty for that too.

Whatever he did he will get away with it; just like all his untouchable Mates, some who get their Watches from Dead Friends !

Report to ec and ban him.

  • Popular Post

It doesn't matter. He'll claim he wasn't there and the Constitutional Court would agree. Just as he claimed he wasn't PM for four years.

  • Popular Post

The probable next PM can barely walk let alone sing and dance.  But he's a better time keeper.

Must have been a gruesome sight, he's violated the rights of Thai citizens for more than 8 years.

Do coups and court manipulated overturns qualify as violations?

Prayut singing and dancing more like a violation against all humanity.

A bit like the dodgy 3M donation that no-one speaks about anymore.

Another useless report which wont go any further.

Nor any media follow ups or further investigative reporting.

What was he singing ?  'There may be trouble ahead' ?

When he took office he was required (by the Constitution) to make a declaration of his finances. He refused. Singing and dancing a violation? Get real!

They don't seem to mind, they've done nothing about it.

Of course he violated electoral laws, but the EC will never do anything about it. Usual double standards in operation.

His way does not include sticking to the rules.  He has no regrets; he has not planned each charted course; nor is he one who kneels.

One can only imagine the  horror of watching this creep dance. Lock him up!

Singing and dancing--all he's accomplished since 2014.

That's it?  A singing and dancing violation?  With every bit of chicanery indulged in to retain power by this military coup leader and authoritarian strongman with no respect for law, Thai people or anything else that doesn't line his pockets and those of his cronies and he gets a singing and dancing violation.

That should right the ship for sure.

And Prayut is renowned for following said laws regulations and protocols is he ?
