Hi all.

I have a non O retirement visa 12 month extension in Bueng Kan province.

I am thinking of moving to somewhere near the ocean (open to ideas) but wanted to know what is the immigration process to change province?

Any help or clues please?

Are there other things that need to be considered besides immigration?

 

Will I need to change my address for my driver license?

 

Will I need to get the plates changed on my motorbike?

 

Any other things that need to be changed?

2) yes you have to because the address on your driving license will be your old address.

 

3) many people do that. because you moved there. My friend bought a car from another province and the changed the number plate first thing. 

 

1 & 4) after TM30 i dont think you need to get a new extension immediately from your new IO. i think you can wait till it exoire and time to do new extension. Better ask this to your new local IO.

You don't have to change your plates.

 

But, as a farang, I would.

Probably somewhere along the line someone will make a fuss either because they can, or they are rent-seeking.

 

Also, your car insurance will want to know. Always make sure your insurance company is informed about any changes.
