What are the steps for 30 days extension of stay these days in Bangkok? Appointment booking, tm30 needed? Location Laksi IT-mall?

 

What about in Hat Yai? Same? Doable?

 

I have to ask here as the internet seems broken with so many conflicting and incomplete advice. I haven't been to Thailand for years and the last time (stayed for about ten years), I was always on NON-IMM visas and just did border runs if got bored. Now I'm going for a 39 day holiday and wish to keep the hours doing the extension minimal. I was planning for a border run to Sadao but prefer the resort on the Thai side and will not stay a night in Malaysia so will probably just have to take care of the extension in BKK. Any advice? Thanks!
