When I first came here, it was all pretty predictable. Nights out, bars, always somewhere busy. That was the routine. These days it’s different. Quieter, less going out. I still drop in now and then, but it’s not the center of things anymore. The scene itself feels different too.Fewer girls around, or just moved online? Yes, SCB has an account that has better interest rate. Thinking that account does not have physical bank book. There are (as always) some immigration offices that may require a bank book. You could check with immigration office. Is the plan to live ongoing in Thailand. If so you could consider long term option of using income method rather than funds in the bank.

Parroting that comment over and over does not lend any more credibility to your claim...☹️ If an agent banked the money for you and you didn't have your own 800k already in the bank to meet the seasoning requirements (800k for 3 months after the extension was granted and then never before 400k the rest of the year) when you submit your documentation for the next extension immigrations would see that by the year detail transaction report you are required to turn in. Also your "I haven't seen one post" comment doesn't cut any ice either.. I know more than a few people who came off the rails trying to go from under the table agent gotten visa/extensions to above the table extensions on their own. Most either had to pay a "special free" to pull it off or had to leave, get off the agent gotten stamps and either get a new non O at a nearby consulate, or come back in free stamp and apply for the non o in country and after that the new year extension. It's definitely not as easy as your make it out to be getting off that slippery slope of agent gotten extensions..

They hope the punter will also order something else at the standard price and/or think he's saving so much on the bottle of beer that he can afford to but a few ladydrinks that he otherwise would not do. The gross profit on a Bar-Beer ladydrink is between 40 and 80+ baht, depending on what commission the girl gets and what the actual drink is. If a punter only drinks beer and doesn't buy a ladydrink, the bar about breaks even - give or take a Satang. However, invariably that is the punter who has a few buddies he attracts to the bar that would not otherwise be a customer. I heard a rumour that some of these guys are on a commission basis for new customers, but that could be urban legend.
