Deputy National Police Chief General Surachate Hakparn on Wednesday said that the examination of 180 bank accounts linked with suspected serial murderess Sararat Rangsiwutthaporn or Am Cyanide shows that her compulsion to kill by poisoning her victims with cyanide and get access to a constant stream of easy cash was, ultimately, caused by her addiction to online gambling sites where she lost as much as ฿1 million in one day.

A key issue for police, at this stage, in the final stages of the investigation aside from getting the alleged serial killer to confess, amid overwhelming evidence as to her guilt, is to establish the exact source of the cyanide she was able to obtain from 2015 to 2023.

Top cop General Surachate Hakparn has told reporters that the main driver behind the serial killing spree perpetrated by suspected cyanide poisoner Ms Sararat Rangsiwutthaporn was a desperate need to fund her addiction to online gambling. General Surachate said that Am, whom he has been engaging in prison house interrogations to get the alleged murderess to confess, had lost as much as ฿1 million in one day on such sites and that officers had traced the financial path across over 180 bank accounts to online gambling sites which continue to proliferate in Thailand generating vast profits for organised criminals in the kingdom while leaving behind a trail of misery and evil doings for those connected with the activity.

Deputy Police Chief General Surachate Hakparn, on Wednesday, revealed that the key driver in the serial murder case involving Am Cyanide or Ms Sararat Rangsiwutthaporn was online gambling.

Lucky it was online gambling. If it was off-line gambling the death toll could’ve been much higher.  Loan shark: “Kuhn Am, you owe me 500k from last night’s card game”. Kuhn Am: “oh yeah that’s right, have a drink, here you go, I made it especially for you, it has a slightly nutty flavor, new from farang land, my friends love it, let me go get my purse, enjoy”.

Lots of people in Thailand gamble. Many millions have been lost. But there is only one Am Cyanide.

Yes, lots of people in Thailand gamble.
And lots of people are in a financial disaster because of gambling.
The RTP should to do their job and clean out the CANCER from Thai society.

Years ago, an illegal casino was opened next to my house.
Have seen guys come to the casino in a brandnew Toyota minibus, and leave the site walking after a few hours.

And all under the eyes of the RTP who did nothing.
