A warning now to all Bar Owners of Pattaya to ensure that you fully comply with the law. At this time, regular inspections of the bars around the City are being made. Licenses are being checked which includes Music Copyright licenses and bars that are found not to comply with regulations are facing lengthy closures and in some cases they have been closed down permanently.

This inspection conducted on Friday Night was made by the Women and Child Protection Unit based at Pattaya Police Station along with Banglamung District Licensing Officers who were backed up by Pattaya Police Officers. On this occasion they went to beer bars and enclosed bars located in the Central Pattaya area including Soi Yodsak. Licensing irregularities were found and reports will be made to the Governor of Chonburi who is ultimately responsible for approving entertainment and liquor licenses.
