Visa extension

Recommended Posts

What are you extending.

Visa exempt entry, tourist visa etc

or

Current annual extension from a non O marriage or retirement. etc?.

If annual extension then most offices up to 30 days prior to expiry and some offices 45 days

If you have a genuinely pressing need to do an annual retirement extension early (for instance an appointment and air ticket to receive medical treatment abroad) many offices will agree to process the extension early. This is always at their discretion. However, more often than not, they will be sympathetic if your reasoning is convincing enough. "I would like to go on holiday then" will not be sufficient.

We use Pathum, but I'm afraid I've not tried (marriage ext.) earlier than 30 days.

Last year we renewed on the last day due to the UK PP office being a "little" S-L-O-W!!

Give them a call, I've always found them to be helpful.

Me too. Only a week or two prior to extension expiry date.

As I've stated elsewhere, never had any "surprises" except their "new" system of having to fill out a TM28, despite no change of address !

Their idea of updating TM30 data.

Okay, hopefully someone will be along with an answer for you

@Crossy or @orchidfan ?

30 days.

As stated earlier by BritTim...

If you can provide good evidence of need to apply sooner that is possible.

Perhaps couple of weeks with flight out and good reason

His is the only weird thing I have come acrour there in many years.

Naturally I have a "registered" TM30 (screenshot) and take that to extension applications .

Even get a nice little blue receipt stating that I have notified my (change) of address.

Haven't moved since we built in 2008!
