Transport Ministry set to provide better communication services at Suvarnabhummi Airport

Ministry of Transport will call all related agencies to improve communication infrastructure at Suvarnaphummi International Airport to facilitate import and export businesses.

Transport Deputy Minister Mr.Sansern Wongcha-um (สรรเสริญ วงศ์ชะอุ่ม) says he has called on representatives from the Airports of Thailand Public Company, Public Warehouse Organization, and Freight Forwarder Agencies to a meeting today (July 9th). He furhter added that the meeting focussed on ways to facilitate communication services at the new airport. The meeting followed a series of complaints concerning delayed processes at the airport, causing products scheduled for shipment to deteriorate. Mr Sansern said one good example of products ruined following the delay in shipment, is fresh fruits.

The Deputy Minister says reducing procedures in the custom and duty department should enable and facilitate the process of import and export. Meanwhile entrance and exit areas will be re-adjusted to ease transportation.
