A brutal crime unfolded in Udon Thani, Thailand after 56 year old Sanguanchai Srisith allegedly stabbed his 33 year old stepson to death in a fit of rage over the disappearance of two fighting cocks in their family home. The victim, Nookraisak Saikhao, was found lying lifeless in a pool of blood on his bed by his ex-wife, who immediately reported the incident to authorities. Sanguanchai, expressing his remorse after the incident, later surrendered himself to the police.

At the crime scene, police found a large number of fighting cock cages and noted that the house was a mess, with blood splattered all over the room. The primary weapon in the vicious attack, a sharp, 1-foot long knife, was also discovered. According to Sanguanchai, he truly loved his stepson, having lived with him and his mother for over ten years, but felt compelled to defend himself in that moment of heated argument.

He claims that Nookraisak was a drug user and that there were numerous weapons in the house, reported Khaosod. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Sanguanchai had two wives and had built an elevated house on the family land, where he and Nookraisak lived.

And after the red mist cleared... too late for remorse.
