snoop1130 Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 The Thai government and its private venture partner U-Tapao International Aviation Company (UTA) are planning to put as much as 40 billion baht into the expansion project of the U-Tapao international airport. UTA is increasing its registered capital of 4.5 billion baht to 15 billion baht to push the expansion of the airport at full speed. Once the capital increase is accomplished, UTA will allocate a substantial total investment of 40 billion baht towards the expansion of the airport. Upon completion of the development project, full rights and ownership of the aviation facilities will be transferred to the state. The govt will operate and manage any airport facility......in this case, UTA take a substantial and regular profit in exchange for their generous investment. A nexus of government and corporations. Corporatism.

Start with the website which is only in Thai. Move on to the email address which never answers anything in English. Inside replace the group of youngsters playing with the luggage machine which has no conveyor belt (you have to carry your luggage to another section). When you finally make it to the seedy, mosquito-infested lounge, you cannot buy a drink unless you have a Thai app on your phone. The only good think is long-stay carparking which, for 8 days parking, was cheaper then a return taxi fare. I did have to wake the attendant up to pay even tho' the gate was fully open.
