I noticed a video on YouTube which mentioned a police report as one of the qualifiers for a Cambodian ER visa. Is this done “in country” or will I have to provide documentation from police in the United States?

A recent passport photo

 

USD 290 (approximately) That's the price you pay an agent. You get a valid visa.

 

If you went to immigration the price is USD180. They obviously discourage you from doing it yourself and are very strict on you providing all kinds of documents, etc.

Possibly a police report is now one of the things required.

I am 73, so I am definitely a retiree. I’ve lived here in Thailand for eight years, but want to make a move. Tired of the hassles involved in getting a visa renewal.  Thanks for your answer. The YT video could well have been talking about those under 55.

During covid there was a foreigner registration requirement. Maybe it was something to do with that.

 

Anyway the Cambodian retirement visa is the easy.

And plenty of nice places to live.

Rents are inexpensive and you can buy if you want. Lots of homes for sale. It's a buyer's market
