People living downstream of the Bhumibol and Sirikit dams have been advised to use water economically, as the levels in the reservoirs behind the two major dams are steadily falling, due to lack of rainfall upstream.

According to Worapoj Worapong, director of the Bhumibol dam, the water in the reservoir is currently at 49.7% of its full capacity and the dam is discharging about 30 million cubic metres of water downstream for consumption and conservation of the ecological system.

He said the water situation at the reservoir is better than last year, because of the accumulation of water from the previous years.

Was the fishing any good?

We had to re-capture Madam's koi which enjoyed their 1.5 Rai pond for a couple of weeks, amazingly we only lost a couple. We also had a night heron captured on our CCTV doing battle with a fish (not one of the koi) which was really too big for him.

The whole story is in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1270695-the-bangkok-river-level-thread-2022-please-post-your-river-level-photos

I'm quite sure the 2023 edition will be starting up in a couple of months ????
