Retirement Visa Requirements / Criteria
The requirements for a Non-Immigrant O extension (retirement visa) vary from one area to another. I have applied in three different places, and the basic requirements are the same (800k, bank letter, etc.), but a medical certificate is not always required by some areas. Health insurance certificates were demanded from one area and a 12-month bank statement from another, but not the other two, where a three-month statement was required. So, pot luck really. -

visitors in roof
Not sure where to post this so please move if this is the wrong area. We built our house around 31/2 years ago, we are out of the city and have an open field behind us as well as a rubber tree farm next to us. We are now getting noises in the ceiling/roof, they usually start up during the day and get more active at night, while we thought it was probably a few rats some of the foot falls are very heavy and we can get loud commotion at times as well so I doubt the heavier ones are rats. I am unable to access the roof area due to back problems so cant get up there to see, we have had several of the large moth balls tossed about in the roof which are supposed to repell rats, have even heard them being pushed around so either thay dont work or its not rats. Would appreciate suggestions as to what we can do to stop this from happening and get rid of what ever is up there. -

Foreign Tourist Assaulted in Phuket Old Town, Prompting Safety Concerns
Dearest Dimitry, did they not hunt down farang in Phuket with slingshots? "Following up from yesterday’s report there has been no action taken to remove a Facebook page advocating violence against “<deleted> tourists” stranded in Phuket. ‘Spotlight Thailand’, usually a ‘whistleblower’ for local corruption and fuelled by the admin’s political views, has nearly 600,000 followers. Now this week’s posts are going viral, spreading a disturbing message from local Phuket ‘vigilantes’, commenting about the original post, that is likely do irreparable harm to the holiday island’s reputation as a safe place to visit in the future. The posts advocate violence against tourists" https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/crime/facebook-page-advocates-violence-against-<deleted>-tourists-in-phuket So you can pick your opponents, motorcycle gangs in Pattaya or gangs armed with slingshots in Phuket. Or just come to Chiang Mai. Hahahaha...
